The Commercial Custom Retrofit Program helps you cut energy costs and boost comfort with generous incentives for high-efficiency upgrades. Whether you're retrofitting HVAC systems or optimizing controls, we’ll support your project every step of the way—so you can reduce emissions, improve performance, and see faster payback.
Get $0.25/m3 saved to cover up to 50% of project upgrade costs, to a maximum of $100,000 per project.
Get 0.25/m3 for the first 400,000 gross m3 saved, and $0.10/m3 for subsequent m3 after 400,000 m3, up to 50% of project upgrade costs and to a maximum of $500,000 per project.

Contact your Energy Services Advisor (ESA) early in the project planning stage to have your project pre-qualified and maximize the incentives available to you. We’ll estimate natural gas savings based on the project details and provide an incentive quote. If you haven’t already worked with an ESA, you’ll be provided with one for support every step of the way, at no additional cost.
Contact your ESA and provide a copy of the purchase order. Work with your ESA to submit required technical inputs with an estimated date of installation.
After the energy efficiency upgrade is installed and in service, your ESA will confirm final project details through a site inspection and/or by requesting a copy of the project invoice.
Submit all required paperwork and receive your incentive cheque in 4–6 weeks. An independent evaluator may reach out to verify project details and your experience with the program.

The Affordable Housing Multi-Residential program provides incentives for eligible energy-efficient upgrades in social, affordable and market-rate multi-family buildings.
* Institutional customers include universities, colleges, hospitals, military bases and district energy providers.

Contact an Enbridge Gas Energy Solutions Advisor to confirm your project’s eligibility. All Commercial Custom Retrofit projects must be pre-approved by Enbridge Gas to qualify for incentives. HST will not be included in incentive payments. Incentives are only made available to customers where Enbridge Gas energy efficiency offer(s) have impacted the customer’s decision to proceed with the improvement(s). Incentive cannot exceed 50 percent of the energy efficiency upgrade costs (‘upgrade costs’ refer to the difference between the equipment and implementation costs of the energy-efficient option and those of the alternate option considered), to a maximum of $100,000 per project (for institutional customers, to a maximum of $500,000 per project).
Commercial controls offer is available to all Enbridge Gas commercial customers. For institutional demand control ventilation (DCV) projects, please contact your Energy Solutions Advisor for eligibility criteria. Incentives are calculated based on natural gas savings ($/m3 rate), up to 50 percent of energy efficiency upgrade costs, to a maximum of $100,000 per project.
